A clear scope for architectural metalwork.

Powder coating for handrails.

Handrails have more to a quote than linear footage. Height, infill pattern, tube dimensions, corrosion, existing coating and masking all change the work. Al handles commercial handrails and can review the full project.

What to bring to the conversation.

  • Total sections and the length, width, height and weight of each
  • Material, present condition and any existing coating
  • Indoor or exterior exposure and required coating specification
  • Mounting faces, threads and areas that must remain uncoated
  • Photos or drawings, delivery plans and target date

What a rail quote should include.

Preparation, masking, racking, the agreed finish system, oven cycles and handling should all appear in the scope. On exterior work, discuss the appropriate pretreatment, primer and powder product rather than assuming every single-coat finish is suitable.

Timing confirmed for your job.

Smaller custom work typically takes 1–3 days after powder arrives. Most large orders take about a week. Custom colors usually take about 3 days to arrive after ordering. Preparation, job size and the shop schedule determine the confirmed date.
